Welcome to The Shumate RE Academy

Notice to Students

This course is approved for continuing education credits by the Georgia Real Estate Commission.

In order to receive Continuing Education Credit from the Georgia Real Estate Commission students are required to following the rules.

1. Students will receive objectives and instructional material at the beginning of the course.

2.  Continuing Education Courses will be either 3 or 6 hour in-class course.  Attendance is required for the entire class to receive credits and participates will not receive credit for any continuing education course taken within the previous calendar year.

3. Upon completion of the course the student will receive Continuing Education Credit.

4. Courses are instructed by Chris Shumate

5. Students are required to sign in upon arrival, after breaks and after lunch.  At the end of the course students will be required to complete an evaluation form.  The evaluation form will be collected at the end of the course as a sign out sheet.  If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late they can stay for the class but will not receive CE credit. If a student fails to complete the sign in sheet and the end of course evaluation they will not receive CE credit. 

6. Course etiquette: Students are required to turn off all cell phones, tablets and laptop computers.  The dress code for class is business attire. 

7. There will be one 15 minute break for a 3 hour CE course and two 15 minute breaks plus one hour lunch break for 6 hour CE course.  Students are required to sign in after the lunch break for the 6 hour course.

8.  The Shumate RE Academy has a no recruiting for employment policy per GREC Rule 520-2-02 (10).  Students are to report recruitment to Chris Shumate at cshumate@chrisshumate.com

9.  CE course credits will be uploaded to The Georgia Real Estate Commission within 3 business days.  Students will receive a course completion certificate and are advised to keep a record of course completion.

10.  If a student has a lapsed license The Shumate RE Academy will not be able to upload CE credit.  It is the student’s responsibility to complete the requirements of The Georgia Real Estate Commission before The Shumate RE Academy can upload CE credits.

11.  The Shumate RE Academy will not discriminate in its fees, enrollment, or completion policies on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial, or handicap.

Attendance Standards and Make-up Policy

                The Shumate RE Academy will mirror the GREC standards for attendance standards.  A student will receive a competition certificate upon attending all the required hours for the in-class course.  It a registered student is unable to attend the class for any illness, emergency or other legitimate reason students will be allow to attend the next available course offered.  Inclement weather policy: If a course is canceled due to inclement weather registered students will be offered the opportunity to attend the rescheduled date.

Tardiness – When a student arrives late more than 10 minutes after the start of the class can stay for the course, however they will not receive any CE credits.

The Shumate Real Estate Academy is a Georgia Real Estate Commission Approved School (School #8052) and strictly adheres to all GREC Rules and Regulations.
